The Society Believes That All Azov Warriors Were Returned Home, but 700 of Them Are Still in Captivity — “WOMEN OF STEEL” Council of Wives and Mothers of Ukraine’s Defenders NGO

There is an opinion in Ukrainian society that the history of Azovstal is over and all the Azov warriors have been returned home. Natalia Kravtsova, mother of a prisoner of war, “WOMEN OF STEEL” Council of Wives and Mothers of Ukraine’s Defenders NGO, stated that this is not true during the briefing “Christmas in Captivity” at the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“Now thousands of Ukrainian families live in their own personal hell, without having any information about the fate of their relatives who came to the defense of Ukraine and ended up in hands of the enemy or went missing. Fortunately, exchanges have begun and our warriors are returning to Ukraine. We are grateful to everyone involved in these exchanges for completing this herculean task. It is positive that Azovstal defenders are exchanged at least in the quantity of a few people. But they do not include soldiers of the Azov Regiment, to whom the russians have a special frame of mind. The society has formed the opinion that the history of Azovstal is over, all Azov warriors have already been returned or only they are being returned. This is not true. Now more than 700 Azov fighters have been held captive by russia for the eighth month,” Natalia said.
