State Emergency Service reports 18 forest fires sites covering area of ​​2,500 hectares in Kharkiv region  

Eighteen forest fires were recorded in the Lyman and Kupiansk Forestries, Kharkiv region. So far, firefighters have contained 10 fires.

Oleksandr Khorunzhyy, Press Officer of the State Emergency Service, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“In Kharkiv oblast, these are Lyman Forestry and Kupiansk Forestry. Accordingly, we have recorded 18 forest fires sites covering a total area of ​​over 2,500 hectares. Firefighters have already contained 10 fires on a total area of ​​160 hectares. In total, about 200 rescuers and 43 pieces of equipment were involved,” said Oleksandr Khorunzhyy.
