“Situation with Food in Ukraine Is Absolutely under Control,” Roman Leshchenko Says
Ukraine is all set to ensure food security. The country has a cache of maize for one year and a half, wheat for two years, and sunflower oil for five years. Roman Leshchenko, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, stated this during a press briefing in Ukraine Media Center.
The official also indicated that the active phase of the agricultural work would start in the next few weeks. He added that more than 300 food industry plants carried out government contracts.
