“Situation on Zhytomyr Oblast’s Border with belarus Is Calm, No russian Assault Is Expected from This Direction,” Head of Zhytomyr Oblast Military Administration

No assault by russian forces from belarus is expected in Zhytomyr Oblast. Vitalii Bunechko, Head of Zhytomyr Oblast Military Administration, stated this during his briefing at Ukraine Media Center.

According to him, border guards are building fortifications along the border with belarus. The Ukraine/belarus border section in Zhytomyr Oblast is over 250 km long.

According to earlier reports, nine settlements in the Oblast had been occupied by russians, but they were liberated by now. Invaders entered them from Chornobyl Exclusion Zone.
