Since the start of the year, 83 people have died in fires, according to the State Emergency Service

Over 1,500 fires have broken out since the beginning of the year, with over 300 cases linked to the use of electrical appliances. Viktor Vitovetskyi, Director of the Department for Organization of Civil Protection Measures at the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, stated this at the Media Center Ukraine.

“SES units have responded to over 6,000 calls. Since the beginning of the year, 1,500 fires have been recorded, resulting in 83 fatalities and 79 injuries,” he said.

Vitovetskyi emphasized that citizens must ensure their electrical appliances are intact before use, avoid drying clothes on them, and never leave them unattended.
