Since the beginning of the year, State Emergency Service specialists have rescued 58 people from the water, including 22 children.

Oleksandr Khorunzhiy, a spokesperson for the State Emergency Service, urged Ukrainians not to venture onto the ice, as it is currently fragile and unreliable. He made this statement during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center.

“Rescuers have saved 58 people in the water this year, including 22 children. These are staggering numbers,” he emphasized.

The State Emergency Service spokesperson urged parents to explain to their children that walking on ice is extremely dangerous.
