SESU demining teams clear 1,700 square kilometers neutralizing over half a million explosive devices

Bomb disposal units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) are pressing ahead with demining operations in territories affected by ongoing hostilities.

Serhii Reva, Head of the Department for Organizational Work on Humanitarian Demining at Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, shared an update on the scope of these efforts during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.

“Our bomb disposal experts teams continue to carry out demining operations. To date, we have cleared approximately 1,700 square kilometers of land. More than half a million explosive devices have already been rendered safe,” Reva stated.
