SES rolls out campaign for kids and families
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine, in collaboration with UNICEF and Ukrainian Railways, has launched a comprehensive “Safe Summer Holidays” initiative aimed at safeguarding children and families from potential risks.
During a press briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform, it was reported by Oleksandr Khorunzhyy, Press Officer of the State Emergency Service.
The campaign’s key focus areas include fire safety, water safety, mine safety, and railway safety.
The campaign features the development of four video segments covering water safety, fire prevention, mine hazard awareness, and railroad safety. Additionally, informational brochures equipped with sticker packs have been created to disseminate essential guidelines for water activities and step-by-step protocols for handling emergencies.
For the elderly population, a newspaper dubbed “Burning News” has been launched, consolidating all pertinent information regarding summer hazards.
All campaign materials are also accessible digitally through a dedicated “Safe Summer Holidays” section on the SES website.
Furthermore, as part of the campaign, SES, in partnership with UNICEF, has introduced educational resources for conducting safety tips workshops in schools. These resources cater to students in grades 5-7 and 8-9, offering methodological guidance, presentations, quizzes, role-playing exercises, and checklists to instill essential safety behaviors.
Out-of-home advertising support further bolsters the reach and impact of the information campaign.
