Security situation in Kherson region remains very difficult — First Deputy Head of Kherson Oblast Council
“Unfortunately, we are currently facing a very difficult security situation, because the enemy still has the opportunity to fire at our territory from relatively short distances, using tube artillery, mortar systems, and multiple launch rocket systems,” — Yurii Sobolevskyi, First Deputy Head of Kherson Oblast Council, said at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“Within the last day, there were 93 cases of shelling. We recorded 412 enemy shells used by the enemy on our territory. Unfortunately, one person died, six people were injured,” — he added.
At the same time, Yurii Sobolevskyi noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine uses counter-battery fire as much as possible.
“The boys are trying as hard as possible to establish fire control over the positions of the russian army, from which they fire upon our communities and cities.”
