More information: Photo exhibition “Rozlam. Kharkiv” (Rift. Kharkiv) is a collection of photographs showing the destruction of educational, cultural and sports institutions; architectural monuments and memorials; residential buildings in the city of Kharkiv.

By February 24, 2022, 1,500,000 people lived in Kharkiv. The largest number of students in Ukraine studied in the city, per capita.

As of January 7, 2023, more than 8,000 residential buildings were destroyed in Kharkiv by Russian missiles and bombs.

The photos were taken by the public organization “Maidan Monitoring” Information Center, which since March 2022 has been helping Ukrainian investigators to document russian crimes in the Kharkiv region as part of pre-trial proceedings.
