SBGS: Nearly 700 criminal groups facilitating illegal border crossings uncovered during martial law
Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion, some 700 organized criminal groups facilitating illegal border crossings have been uncovered in Ukraine. This year alone, 330 such groups have been identified.
This information was shared by Andrii Demchenko, spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS), during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“During martial law, almost 700 such criminal groups were uncovered. These groups consisted of a significant number of individuals, including both organizers and accomplices. This year alone, we exposed 330 such groups. We are witnessing a growing willingness among some people to profit by helping others cross the border illegally,” Demchenko said.
