russians break through on quad bikes: Ukrainian border guards report new enemy assault group tactics in Sumy oblast
Enemy subversive groups are increasingly attempting to breach the border on quad bikes, using their speed to infiltrate deeper into Ukrainian territory.
Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson for Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service, reported this during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.
“The most active areas in Sumy oblast remain the settlements of Basivka and Zhuravka, where the enemy uses small assault groups. These groups attempt to cross the border and establish a foothold on Ukrainian soil to expand the zone of active combat. Often, these groups rush in on quad bikes, leveraging their speed to infiltrate Ukraine as deeply as possible and await reinforcements to further expand the combat area,” Demchenko explained.
He added that the enemy is focusing not only on the most active sectors but also testing breakthrough attempts in other sectors.
“Beyond these two primary hotspots, unfortunately, we see the enemy attempting to expand the infiltration zone of small assault groups to the left of Zhuravka. However, the resilience and heroism of the Ukrainian defenders prevent the enemy from achieving its objectives or rapidly expanding the combat zone across our country,” Demchenko emphasized.
