russian economy is on the brink of recession – Vadym Denysenko

Without sanctions relief, russia’s economy will likely enter a recession (a general decline in economic activity – ed.) next year.

Vadym Denysenko, head of the Dilova Stolytsia analytical center, expressed this opinion during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“The budget deficit for seven months is 4.8 trillion rubles. The initial forecast at the beginning of the year was 1.2 trillion rubles. Revenues for these seven months have been 2.8 trillion rubles, while expenditures have reached +20.8. The main expenditure items are the military-industrial complex and the army. The liquid asset sell-off is nearly 4 trillion rubles,” he noted.
