russia is attempting to destroy the identity of 1.6 million Ukrainian children living in the temporarily occupied territories.

To date, russia has set up an entire system aimed at erasing the national identity of children in the temporarily occupied territories. Today, the number of children affected by russia’s influence has reached more than 1.6 million.

These figures were presented at the press conference “Childhood in Captivity: How to Protect the Rights of Children under Occupation”, held at the Media Center Ukraine.

“The occupier is directing all efforts to erase national identity, and children and youth are the most vulnerable. That is why russia has created a whole system in the occupied territories to destroy the Ukrainian identity of children, who number more than 1.6 million,” said one of the speakers at the press conference.
