russia’s shadow fleet eases sanctions evasion, Ukrainian MP says 20th package must respond

Western allies should move forward with the 20th package of sanctions against russia to intensify pressure on Moscow. 

Fedir Venislavskyi, a member of parliament and of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, outlined the urgency at the Media Center Ukraine.

“This package will inflict more painful consequences on the aggressor, including bans on trade in gas and oil, in gemstones, and on the shadow fleet,” Venislavskyi said. “It is this fleet that allows russia to circumvent sanctions. This package should serve to unify our partners.”
