russia plunders and destroys over one million Ukrainian museum artifacts

The damage that russia caused to Ukraine’s cultural heritage amounts to more than a million stolen or destroyed museum artifacts.

Mariana Tomyn, Director of the Cultural Heritage Department of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, made this statement during the discussion at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“The damage caused by the russian federation amounts to more than a million plundered or destroyed museum artifacts. I am talking about the items that belong to Ukraine’s Museum Fund, which are actually the property of the Ukrainian people. Therefore, the damage was huge,” she said.
