russia Deployed Iskander-M Missile Systems near Kherson

Oleksandr Motuzianyk, the spokesperson of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, stated this during his briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“There is a persistent threat of enemy missile strikes on military and civil facilities within Ukraine’s territory from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. For instance, the russian invaders deployed a missile artillery battalion of Iskander-M missile systems near Milkovodne (8 km to the administrative boundary with Kherson Oblast).

The Ministry of Defense also highlighted that the warships of russia’s Black Sea navy keep engaging in missions aimed at isolating the fighting area, pursuing reconnaissance, and providing fire cover in coastal areas in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

 The foe blocks civilian navigation in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

“Five carriers of sea-based cruise missiles of Kalibr type (up to 36 missiles in aggregate) stand ready for using their missiles in the Black Sea area,” Oleksandr Motuzianyk said.
