Retailers and shopping malls secure foreign electricity deals amid power outage concerns

In response to potential long-term power outages, Ukrainian retailers and shopping centers are actively securing electricity supply agreements with foreign providers.

Andrii Zhuk, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Retail Association of Ukraine, highlighted this development during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“Numerous retailers and shopping centers are entering into agreements to purchase electricity from abroad,” Zhuk stated. “There is a mechanism in place that allows large consumers to sign contracts with foreign suppliers, ensuring a stable electricity supply. I can confidently say that retail businesses and shopping centers are prepared to face the challenges ahead.”
