Rescuers from across Ukraine aid Kyiv in urgent power restoration efforts after russian strikes

Emergency responders from other parts of Ukraine have been deployed to the capital to assist with restoring electricity, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said.

Rescue teams are working alongside power engineers on emergency repairs, according to Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, spokesperson for the State Emergency Service, who spoke at the Media Center Ukraine.

“Rescuers from other regions are being rotated into Kyiv and the surrounding areas to help deal with the aftermath of enemy attacks on energy infrastructure,” he said. “Primarily, they are supporting emergency repair operations. Both rescuers and high-angle specialists are on the job. It’s extremely challenging work.”
