Representatives from 19 regions of Ukraine competed in the 2024 Paralympics as part of the national team

Athletes from 19 regions of Ukraine represented the country at the Paralympics in Paris.

This was announced by Valeriy Sushkevych, President of the National Paralympic Committee of Ukraine, during a press conference at the Media Center Ukraine.

“It is a very significant result that I, as the President of the National Paralympic Committee, and the whole team are proud of, that 19 regions of Ukraine participated in the national team. We have representatives from almost every region of Ukraine,” he said.

Among the regions, the most successful were the representatives of Poltava Oblast, winning 20 medals out of a total of 82 at the Paralympics. Donetsk Oblast came in second with 19 medals, closely followed by Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with 18 medals.

Out of 139 Ukrainian Paralympic athletes, 65 won medals. 19 athletes became multimedalists, winning several medals at once.
