putin has 10 days to accept terms of 30-day ceasefire – Political analyst

If putin does not agree to a 30-day ceasefire within the next 10 days, russia could face new U.S. sanctions. These restrictions, which are due to take effect at the end of March, could have a significant impact on russian oil exports.

Political analyst Vadym Denysenko pointed this out during a discussion at Media Center Ukraine.

“The key date to watch is March 27-28. That’s when Biden’s latest sanctions on russian oil come into effect. This is crucial because the Democrats are fully preparing for this date, as are some Republicans. Also pay attention to Senator Lindsey Graham’s statement – it is very telling. He warned that if it turns out that putin is manipulating Donald Trump, the US will respond in a devastating way,” Denysenko noted.

According to him, the sanctions could reduce russian oil exports by about 15% annually.

“It won’t be fatal, but it will be critical in 2025 and extremely painful in 2026-2027,” he added.

Denysenko stressed that the coming days will be crucial for russia amid mounting international pressure. putin now faces a choice: accept the terms of a 30-day ceasefire or face a new wave of sanctions and potential repercussions, particularly from Washington.

“putin has 10 days to decide whether to accept or reject the 30-day ceasefire. If he refuses, Trump will be forced to escalate sanctions and follow through with the serious measures he warned about before the negotiations even began,” the expert concluded.
