Prices of around 250 more medicines in Ukraine expected to drop, AIPM Ukraine says

Since March 1, pharmaceutical companies have already reduced prices on 101 medicines by 30% and adjusted distributor and pharmacy stocks to ensure the cuts take effect immediately. The initiative is part of a broader effort to lower drug costs nationwide.

The price of nearly 250 additional medicines in Ukraine may soon decrease by up to 40% as part of ongoing measures to make essential drugs more affordable, Petro Bahriy, President of the Association of Representatives of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers of Ukraine (AIPM Ukraine), announced during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“This effort is far from over—it is still ongoing. Right now, we are working on reducing prices for another 200 to 250 medicines,” Bahriy said. “Some will see a 30% cut, others 40%, and some 20%. The exact reductions depend on market conditions.”
