Patients can now access free medical services at the National Academy of Medical Sciences facilities – NHSU

Ukraine has a system of medical guarantees, which is the scope of medical care purchased by the state and provided free of charge. This includes not only primary care, but also emergency care, specialized care, childbirth, rehabilitation services, and more. In 2025, the National Academy of Medical Sciences was added to the list of institutions providing such services.

Natalia Husak, Head of the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU), announced this update at the Media Center Ukraine.

“Ukrainians can now receive services at these institutions for free. If any facility denies these free services, patients should report it to the NHSU for investigation,” Husak emphasized.

She noted that IVF programs were added to the list of free services last year. Services for veterans are also funded, including dental prosthetics and treatment, both of which are in high demand. Transplantation services have also been added to the list of free services.
