Overnight attack on Ukraine: Kyiv suffers the most extensive damage

A coordinated overnight assault on June 5-6 impacted 10 regions across Ukraine, with the heaviest destruction reported in the capital. The targeted areas included Volyn, Lviv, Ternopil, Kyiv, Sumy, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions, as well as the city of Kyiv.

Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, press officer of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, shared the update during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.

“Most of the destruction and damage was recorded in Kyiv. According to our data, 87 objects were damaged. In particular, most of them are residential infrastructure, residential buildings, administrative buildings, industrial facilities, and a huge number of vehicles. In addition, subway lines were damaged,” he stated.
