The Department for the Organization of Work and Use of Unmanned Systems and Robotics of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine conducts rescue operations and carries out special tasks, including searching for missing persons.
Ihor Hetalo, Head of the Department for the Organization of Work and Use of Unmanned Systems and Robotics of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, announced this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“One recent case involved searching for a child in Ivano-Frankivsk who had been missing for four days. We found the girl using drones. We attached a loudspeaker to a drone and played her favorite song. This helped guide the child into view of our drone’s camera. Over the past year, we have managed to find 12 people lost in forests,” Hetalo said.
