Over ten more children abducted by russia to return to Ukraine today – Regional Center for Human Rights
The official count of children who have been successfully returned to Ukraine after being illegally deported by russia now stands at 1,509. However, only about 20,000 of the children still on enemy territory have been identified so far.
Kateryna Rashevska, a PhD in international law and an expert at the Regional Center for Human Rights, provided this update during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“Another large group of children is returning today. I cannot disclose the exact number yet, but it is more than ten, so the official statistic of 1,509 will increase,” Rashevska stated. “This is thanks to the efforts of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, non-governmental and civil society organizations, and the international coalition. We are hopeful that the pace of these returns will only accelerate.”
