“Over 500 Ukrainian Kids Were Taken to Poland for Medical Treatment,” Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Lviv
From the first days of the war, the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Lviv organized 11 convoys to evacuate sick children from Ukraine. They did everything possible to bring the kids to safety. Eliza Dzwonkiewicz, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Lviv, said this during her briefing at Ukraine Media Center.
Overall, almost 550 Ukrainian children in different conditions were transported to Poland.
“They are in various hospitals in Poland, in very good conditions. We believe that the need was so acute that they couldn’t wait. Every minute mattered in that situation,” Eliza Dzwonkiewicz summarized.
