Over 430 million UAH in grants have been provided for the development of more than 800 veterans’ initiatives
The Ukrainian Veterans Fund provides financial and grant support for the development of veterans’ businesses. To date, more than 430 million UAH has been allocated to over 800 initiatives.
This was reported by Yuliia Kirillova, Acting Executive Director of the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation, during a presentation at the Media Center Ukraine on the results of the research “The Role of the State in the Social Reintegration of Veterans”.
“In one of our studies, when we asked veterans what they planned to do after demobilization, about 64% of them said they wanted to start their own business. The Ukrainian Veterans Foundation provides veterans with financial and grant support to develop their own businesses. To date, we have allocated over 430 million hryvnia in support of more than 800 initiatives of our veterans,” she said.
According to Yuliia Kirillova, thanks to this support, its recipients were able to create 731 jobs, not including seasonal workers.
“This is a clear example of how the state cares for its defenders after their service and how our veterans, who have transitioned to civilian life, strengthen our country’s economy,” she added.
