Over 2,300 trucks are stranded in a backlog in Poland
As of this morning, a staggering number of trucks queued up at various border crossings in Poland forming a line of more than 2,300 freight trucks as Polish farmers persist in their traffic restrictions. The affected checkpoints include Yahodyn, Uhryniv, Ustyluh, Rava-Ruska, Shehyni, and Krakivets.
Andrii Demchenko, Spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, revealed that information during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“As of this morning, there are a little over 2,300 trucks waiting in line in Poland to cross into Ukraine across all six directions,” Demchenko disclosed.
Demchenko noted that the longest lines are observed at the Krakivets and Yahodyn border crossings. However, he clarified that Polish farmers haven’t impeded other forms of transportation such as cars and buses, which are free to move in both directions across the border.
