Over 2,000 top-scoring students choose Ukrainian universities, debunking “brain drain” myth

Contrary to popular belief about Ukraine’s best students leaving abroad, this year’s admissions data tells a different story. Mychailo Wynnyckyj, Deputy Minister for Higher and Adult Education of Ukraine, revealed striking statistics during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“This year, 2,414 applicants achieved perfect 200 scores on at least one subject of the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT). Of these top performers, 2,201 received admission offers to Ukrainian universities. This means we’ve conditionally ‘lost’ just 13 of these high-achieving students – I consider this good statistics,” Wynnyckyj stated.
