Over 117,000 people have already received the 6,500 UAH payment under the winter support program for the most vulnerable categories – Tetiana Kiriienko

As of December 9, more than 340,000 people have applied for the one-time payment of 6,500 UAH.

This information was provided by Tetiana Kiriienko, Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine, during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“As of today, assistance has been funded for 117,199 people who applied for this aid. These funds have a designated purpose – they can be used to purchase warm clothing and footwear, as well as medicine and vitamins. This should be done within 180 days, or half a year. The application period will continue until December 17,” she said.

Kiriienko noted that duplicate applications are the most frequent reason for rejection. Therefore, it is advisable to verify one’s data with the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
