Over 1,000 women reskilled for manufacturing roles in Ukraine
More than 1,000 women have completed retraining and moved into the manufacturing workforce through the Reskilling Ukraine initiative. According to program organizers, nearly 30% of participants have already entered industrial jobs, including auto mechanics, forklift operation, and CNC machine work.
Viktoriia Posieva, communications lead at Reskilling Ukraine, shared the program’s latest achievements during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“The average age of our participants is 42. Before retraining, many of them worked in completely different trades,” Posieva said. “The need for new skills often emerges in limit situations. Thus, about 60% of those enrolled are internally displaced women, as well as spouses of military personnel and veterans.”
The Reskilling Ukraine program currently offers training in several in-demand technical and operational roles, including construction project administration, welding, and forklift operation, etc.
