Odesa region transfered UAH 20 million (approx 488 thousands euro) to restore housing and social infrastructure in Kherson region

Another UAH 23 million is planned to be transfered. This was announced at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa by Serhiy Zhirnyi, acting director of the department of capital construction and road facilities of Odesa region military administration.

The funds are allocated as part of the “Plich-o-plich” (Side by Side) project of the Office of the President of Ukraine. Odesa region, as a representative of the patron region, is rebuilding damaged housing and social infrastructure in the de-occupied settlements of Kherson region.   

“At present, Odesa regional military administration has transferred UAH 20 million as a subvention to Kherson RMA, namely: UAH 4.5 million (approx 98 thousands euro) to the Velyka Oleksandrivka village council: UAH 15.5 million (approx 366 thousands euro) to the Chornobaivka village council. It is also planned to allocate another UAH 23 million (approx 489 thousands euro) from the regional budget for social facilities. Namely, the Kyselivka Lyceum of the Chornobaivka village council and the Kyselivka kindergarten. The total amount is UAH 43 (approx 1 million euro) million,” – the official said.

He added that the total number of damaged objects is 270, of which 14 residential infrastructure objects have been restored by the owners at their own expense, i.e., the total number of objects to be restored is 257.

“Currently, 257 defect reports have been drawn up. According to the defect reports and available expert reports, the estimated cost of restoration is UAH 238.208 million (approx 5,85 millions euro), of which the amount for major repairs of social infrastructure facilities is UAH 196.440 million (approx 4,9 millions euro),” – Serhiy Zhyrnyi said.
