No doubts about social spending: Ukraine’s Finance Minister assures continued support
Spending on social programs remains a top priority in Ukraine’s budget, and the allocated resources are expected to be sufficient to support vulnerable citizens, according to Finance Minister Serhii Marchenko.
Speaking at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine, Marchenko stressed, “We have no reason to believe that social spending will not be funded—it is a priority. The portion of resources set aside is enough to cover the needs of socially vulnerable groups, and this is a critical area of the budget. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the government has consistently prioritized pension payments and social benefits, with no delays, highlighting their critical importance. There is no doubt that these payments will continue as scheduled,” Marchenko assured.
