NMT-2025: Testing abroad to be held in 33 countries
This year, the National Multi-subject Test (NMT) will be conducted in 33 countries, where temporary examination centers will be established.
The announcement was made by Tetiana Vakulenko, Director of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment, National Coordinator of the PISA Study in Ukraine, during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“As for the countries where the NMT will be available, they are essentially the same as in previous years. This year, it will be 33 countries. In some of them, we have set up more temporary examination centers due to higher demand. For instance, Poland and Germany—where many of our temporarily displaced citizens are currently residing—will host numerous centers,” she said. “Some countries will see far fewer applicants. For instance, Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, will host a test center despite only a limited number of test-takers..”
In addition to European countries, test centers will also operate in the United States and Canada.
According to Vakulenko, approximately 20,000 applicants have registered to take the NMT abroad, representing less than 10% of the overall total. However, she emphasized that it is too early to draw any conclusions, noting that although a similar number registered last year, only 16,000 eventually sat for the test.
