NMT-2025: Key changes applicants need to be aware of
This year’s National Multi-subject Test (NMT) introduces changes to the History of Ukraine component, expanding the range of topics included in the test.
Tetiana Vakulenko, Director of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment, National Coordinator of the PISA Study in Ukraine, announced the update during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.
“The content and structure of the tests remain entirely consistent, except for the History of Ukraine section. Unlike in previous years, the tasks now cover all questions and topics outlined in the official program,” she said. “Previously, we focused on modern history only, and last year the coverage began with the period of Bohdan Khmelnytsky.”
Overall, Ms. Vakulenko noted that the NMT format and content remain largely unchanged from the previous year.
“This year’s testing format closely mirrors that of last year: four subjects must be completed within four hours,” she explained. “There is a 20-minute break between the first and second blocks, which each include two subjects—the Ukrainian language, Mathematics, History of Ukraine, and one elective.”
