New media project launched in Ukraine to help victims document war crimes
As part of the effort to counter the enemy’s occupation of Crimea, civil society organizations, the Presidential Representation in Crimea, and the Prosecutor’s Office made a joint decision to launch a media project. The project aims to educate victims of war crimes about these violations of international law and encourage them to speak out.
Olha Kuryshko, Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, announced this at the Media Center Ukraine.
“We have created a specific matrix of those crimes for which we want to further collect evidence and increase the presence and testimonies of people about the crimes committed against them. We explain in simple words how to report crimes and what is needed for this,” she explained.
The project includes a series of videos. The first video explains the war crime of deportation.
