Nearly 300,000 hectares of farmland restored for cultivation in 2024 – Taras Vysotskyi

Over the past year, 285,000 hectares of agricultural land have been brought back into cultivation through surveying and demining efforts.

Taras Vysotskyi, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, shared this update during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“Looking at last year, 285,000 [hectares – ed.] of agricultural land were restored for cultivation through surveying and, where necessary, demining within 2024. This means that not only are all available resources being utilized, but every effort is being made to reclaim land affected by mines or other war-related challenges,” he stated.
