NABU chief urges SBU to declassify evidence in treason case against bureau employees
Two employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) are in custody on charges of treason, the agency’s director, Semen Kryvonos, announced during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“Two internal investigations were immediately launched within NABU, and we submitted a request to the SBU to provide materials that would confirm these employees’ involvement in russian influence operations,” Kryvonos said.
The SBU, Security Service of Ukraine, has so far declined to authorize the release of the case materials. Nonetheless, Kryvonos said he plans to request further documentation.
“I will ask for permission to make these materials public, as I see no reason to keep them hidden from the public, the team, or our international partners. I would also urge the SBU to release all available materials concerning these employees,” he stressed.
Kryvonos also noted that the appeal of the court-imposed measure of restraint is currently facing delays.
