
NABU and SAPO to allocate most resources on uncovering systemic corruption
Systemic corruption is the top priority for the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), and the majority of their resources will be allocated to investigating such cases.
This was discussed during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“We recently signed a joint document updating our top priorities. We have established these priorities both in terms of allocation of resources for investigations and across different sectors. Our top priority is systemic corruption, that is corruption perpetrated by organized groups and criminal organizations that is happening here and now, involving high-ranking state and local government officials, and causing millions of dollars in losses. This is our main focus,” emphasized Semen Kryvonos, Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
