Most Ukrainians opt for sports and wellness getaways this winter, Tourism Development Agency says

The Carpathians remain the overwhelming favorite destination for Ukrainian travelers, according to Natalia Tabaka, head of the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine. 

“During the winter season, demand centers on Christmas festivities and outdoor sports activities,” Tabaka said at a Media Center Ukraine briefing. “Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, and Zakarpattia regions rank as the top three travel favorites. Skiing getaways are also on offer in the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions.”

Tabaka noted a growing trend toward wellness-focused trips, with facilities offering medical and health services seeing a marked rise in popularity in recent months.
