
More than 820 criminal groups facilitating illegal border crossings have been discovered during martial law – State Border Guard Service of Ukraine
In February alone, more than 40 criminal groups assisting illegal border crossings were uncovered. Since the declaration of martial law, operations personnel have identified more than 820 such groups.
This information was announced by Andrii Demchenko, spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“In February, a total of more than 40 such criminal groups were uncovered. We are carrying out this work in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies to identify the organizers and the accomplices of these groups, and hold these individuals criminally responsible, as required by Ukrainian legislation. In total, since the introduction of martial law, more than 820 groups have been uncovered thanks to the work of our operations personnel in coordination with other law enforcement agencies,” Demchenko said.
