The division of mine countermeasure ships will be reinforced by at least five vessels.

This was announced by Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“We hope that our existing naval coalition will continue to welcome new members and expand. Currently, for example, two of our ships are in Scotland, and three more mine countermeasure ships are being prepared for transfer. We already have a division of mine countermeasure ships, and it will be strengthened by these units. This will bring the total to at least five mine countermeasure ships, which is a significant step forward. Unfortunately, given the dangers associated with minefields in the Black Sea, these ships will be busy for years to come,” he said.
