Medical Service of National Guard provides aid up to highest NATO standards

The Medical Service of the National Guard of Ukraine provides aid that is up to the highest NATO standards, Head of the Medical Department of the National Guard of Ukraine Denys Trehub said at a press conference «Medical support of the National Guard of Ukraine under martial law» in Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform. 

«As of today, in accordance with its capabilities, the Medical Service of the National Guard of Ukraine has organized medical care delivery that is up to the highest standards of NATO ROLE-1. This includes emergency care, incidental medical service and first aid,» — he said. 

According to Trehub, from that point the soldiers receive qualified secondary care at mobile army hospitals of the Defense Ministry, health care establishments of the Interior Ministry located in different regions, as well as in certain establishments of the Health Ministry and the military hospital of the National Guard. 

The official noted that the healthcare workers of his department had received training under the program «Combat Medic» in the National Guard Training Center. This program was introduced with the participation of Operation UNIFIER Joint Task Force in Ukraine.
