Majority of films at Odesa Film Festival center on war

More than half of the films slated for presentation at this year’s Odesa International Film Festival in Kyiv focus on war themes. 

Anna Machukh, Managing Director at Odesa International Film Festival, revealed this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

Anna Machukh observed, “I believe that over half of the films (at the OIFF focus on war – Ed.). Our daily lives have been shaped by this conflict for a decade, with the first war-related films emerging in 2015. It’s inevitable that a significant portion of the films address this topic, particularly in documentaries. In recent years, there will be no movie that does not touch on the war in some way.”
