Kyiv ranks 26th in transparency among Ukrainian cities

Kyiv ranked 26th out of 100 Ukrainian municipalities in the transparency ranking.

This information was shared during a presentation of the Transparency Ranking of Cities During Full-Scale War at the Media Center Ukraine.

Olesia Koval, head of the “Transparent Cities” program, noted that Kyiv performed best in the budget and procurement sector, tying with Mykolaiv and Chernivtsi for third place. However, she emphasized ongoing issues: “The chronic issues with land use and communal property management remain critically problematic.”

Koval reported that Kyiv implemented 14 out of 31 best practices and met only eight out of 22 legal transparency requirements.
