Kyiv and Lviv region generate 40% of Ukraine’s tourist tax revenue
Kyiv and Lviv remain the top draws for foreign visitors to Ukraine, according to Natalia Tabaka, head of the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine.
Speaking at a briefing hosted by Media Center Ukraine, Tabaka said international travelers most often arrive on business, leisure, or diplomatic trips, and the vast majority choose to stay in Kyiv or Lviv.
“Foreign citizens come to Ukraine on business, tourist, or diplomatic missions. The vast majority stay in Kyiv or Lviv. Kyiv and the Lviv region account for 40 percent of Ukraine’s tourist tax revenue. It comes to roughly 340 million hryvnia,” she said.
Tabaka also noted steady visitor flows from neighboring Romania, Poland, and Moldova.
