Kherson City is Provided with Water by 98%, With Electricity and Heating by 75-80% — Head of Oblast Military Administration
The major part of Kherson city has water, electricity and heat supply, but due to shelling and risks in certain areas, some services cannot be restored at this time. Halyna Luhova, Head of Kherson City Military Administration, made this statement during the briefing at the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“Today, the city has water supply by 98%, energy supply by 75-80%, and the heating situation is similar, accordingly. The error occurs because the enemy constantly fires at the power grids, the specialists of utility enterprises visit the lines and restore power supply. The heating situation is the same. There are several districts in the city which are without heating due to the attacks resulting in damage to the thermal substation. This is the Ostriv district, where service water cannot be pumped to a thermal substation, because it is located near the Dnipro river, where the enemy shells the territory. Antonivka is without electricity supply, because power substations are located on the right bank and sharp shooters are operating there. Naftohavan district is very dangerous: the power grid is damaged there, and there is no heating. There is also the territory in Shumenskyi microdistrict, where a number of buildings remain without heating and it is not possible to restore heat supply there,” Halyna Luhova said.
