It’s not worth hoping for demobilization yet – Fedir Venislavskyi
Given the enemy’s escalation of mobilization resources and the increase in occupation forces, adopting a law on demobilization in Ukraine in the near future is inadvisable.
Fedir Venislavskyi, an MP and member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence expressed this opinion during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.
“Given the current situation, where russia is continuously expanding its mobilization resources, increasing the size of its armed forces through conscription and motivational measures, and growing its occupation forces in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories by 15–20% compared to last year, it is unwise to be overly optimistic about the imminent adoption of a demobilization law or the discharge of specific categories of military personnel. I believe such developments are unlikely in the near future,” he emphasized.
According to Venislavskyi, there is currently no basis for optimism regarding demobilization.
“I am not optimistic enough today to say that a law on discharge from military service will be adopted soon,” he added.
