Inflation may exceed 10% by the end of the year – Olena Korobkova

Inflation may reach 10.5% by the end of this year. Under the current conditions, inflation will not rise to 11%.

This was stated by Olena Korobkova, Chair of the Board of the Association of the Banks of Ukraine, at a briefing at the Media Centre Ukraine.

“If we analyze the inflation forecast in the latest report of the regulator, it suggests that by the end of the year it will be 9.7%. But I think it will be higher, because we are already close to 9.7%. I think inflation will be 10.5% by the end of the year. Of course, in the current conditions it won’t reach 11%,” she said.

According to Olena Korobkova, inflation will peak in the second quarter of 2025.  After that there will be some decline.
